💡 Fun Fact: I’ll admit it – I was in line for the midnight premier of Harry Potter back in high school! I’ve always been drawn to imaginative storytelling and the way rich fictional worlds can captivate us. Ultimately, I believe stories have the power to transport us to different worlds and remind us that even in the dark times, hope and love can prevail.

Hey Rochester! Our hearts are overflowing with excitement to build 413 Church here! We're not just your pastors; we're your neighbors, your friends, and maybe even your future arcade game rivals! (Seriously, challenge us – we’re always up for some friendly competition). Marriage has been one of our greatest adventures (fun fact: we met through college sports—ask us about our athletic days! Go AU!), and being parents to our beautiful daughter, Zoë, is our greatest joy. Family means everything to us, and at 413 Church, it’s a core value. No matter what family looks like for you, we believe in building strong, life-giving relationships—because real life isn’t meant to be lived alone. Let’s do this together!
At 413, our dream is simple: to help YOU grow in the fullness of life offered by Jesus Christ. It's the kind of relationship that changes everything. It's the kind of relationship we've experienced, and we can't wait to share it with you. Like it says in Philippians 4:13 (the verse that inspired our name!), “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” We dream of a church that feels like home. A place where you can find belonging, no matter your story, your background, or where you are on your spiritual journey. A place where diversity isn't just a word; it's a celebration of the beautiful tapestry that makes Rochester so unique. We’ve prayed for you. We’ve been active in this city. And we know God is already at work here – in ways we can see and in ways we can't. We’re honored to be part of that story.
Let’s be real: we’re not about perfect people. We’re about real people—with real struggles, real hopes, and real questions. We believe in a church that’s relevant, that speaks to your everyday life, and helps you navigate its challenges and joys.
Here's the honest truth: We never planned on being church planters. We have dream jobs; comfortable paths. But God whispered a different story—one that called us to remember our humble beginnings and step out on faith again. It's a sacrifice in some ways, but a giant leap forward in what truly matters. It's about seeing lives transformed, and freely sharing with you the deep seated freedom that God has given us the grace to know. And when we're not doing "church stuff" (which is our favorite stuff!), you'll probably find us at the movies, cheering (loudly) for the Lakers, exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants (we're foodies!), or reliving our 80s/90s childhood at the arcade.
